The KIDS Foundation is a not for profit, health promotion charity dedicated to childhood injury prevention and injury recovery. Through KIDS Foundation programs we prevent injuries, save lives and support seriously injured children.
Our Mission
Every day in Australia 5,000 children are injured and 100 children are hospitalised, with accidental injury being the largest single cause of death among Australian children. Our mission is to:
·* Reduce the number of preventable injuries to children by developing risk intelligence in preschool, primary and secondary school children while ensuring they retain a healthy, active and inquisitive approach to life.
·* Prepare, sustain and educate children to manage risk throughout their lives.
·* Promote the prevention and control of psychological after-effects and possible physical complication of childhood accidents and severe burns.
·* Provide quality rehabilitation services and continued support for people recovering from life-changing injuries and burns. We also provide a support network to assist families.
Goals for 2010
Your donation will help ensure that in 2010 KIDS Foundation will be able to continue its programs and grow to:
·* Assist more than 50 children recovering from burns.
·* Include more than 90 new schools & pre-schools in our prevention programs.

There is nothing wrong with who you are or what you do
Don't let others become the judge of you
Let them understand that we are all unique
If they stop and stare, then let them peek.
If anything, curiosity is the reason why
They find it hard to just walk by
Don't let us judge them, it's not their sin
Cause they may only know of smooth skin.
Their imagination must run wild
The thought of our life exiled
But we need to teach them our story so brave
How our life is just as precious to save.
If we let them know we did no wrong
And show them that we are still strong
They will stand beside us with hearts of gold
Remembering the courage that they were told.
Don't let us shy from who we are
Don't starve the world from one less star
Cause we are special no matter what was done
